Hi there! Week one was a great success, our swimmers put in some hard work this week and we are looking like a very strong team this year.

A few things to note heading into week 2:

1. Tomorrow 5/18 is Bring-A-Friend to practice day! Your child is welcome to bring a friend to practice to show them a little Hammerhead fun. We will have a warm treat at the end of practice!

2. If you have a 6+under swimmer that was not at practice last Friday they will be need to take the swim test Monday or the next time they are at practice. 

3. Tuesday 5/19 is Mandatory Picture day. Individual pictures start at 4:30. We will line up for the team picture at 5:00 sharp. Swimmers should wear their team bathing suit, team shirt or a black bathing suit if they do not have either yet. There will be NO PRACTICE after pictures, but I will be staying after for a little Q&A session for any new parents that have any questions. 

4. Wednesday 5/20 during your child's regular practice time we will have our first Time Trial night, yay! This is where we run through all of the individual events for the given age group and get times for all swimmers so that the Coaches and I can plan the meet accordingly. We will have make-ups on Thursday 5/21. Swimmers should wear goggles and a cap, (and if your swimmer has long hair they will need to tie it back) we will have team caps for sale at practice for anyone needing any. 

5. After time trials treat your swimmer and family to some Darden's Delights pie! Darden's Delights, one of our sponsors will be selling pies during time trials.

5. Be on the lookout for the meet absences google form if your child will NOT be in attendance for our 5/26 meet, this form helps the coaches know not to put your child in events that they will not be there for (our team looses points when a kid misses their events).

6. Thursday 5/21 we will have the Coaches Skit and Coaches Introduction at 6pm so feel free to bring dinner and stick around after your child's practice time

7. Friday 5/22 We will have practice :)
