**What is the difference between silicon caps and latex caps? Silicon caps are thicker plastic, more comfortable, and hold up longer. Latex are thinner, but significantly cheaper! We have used latex for years, but decided to offer a silicon option this year for swimmers who prefer silicon caps. Swim caps are not required, but highly encouraged.
