4th Annual Swim-A-Thon
Hey there! Exciting news- we are now opening up fundraising for our Swim-A-Thon! Each swimmer will have the chance to swim in order to raise money. This event was a major success last year as we exceeded our fundraising goal and raised $9,724.75!! Last year's fundraiser raised money for our new bullpen! We have many other future projects to better our swim facilities and develop our swim team for example an automatic timing system for swim meets, which will cut down the amount of meet volunteers needed as well as help get more accurate times for our future record breakers! Our new goal is $10,500 and I think we can do it Hammer Heads!! Last year this was an amazing time for kids to push their limits and blow themselves away with how many laps they could swim. Please read below for more information.
How does it work?
Sponsors (relatives, family, friends, neighbors) can either donate a flat fee, or a certain amount of money for each lap the swimmer will swim. If your child cannot attend the Swim-A-Thon in person, they are still welcome to fundraise and be a part of any of our prize club groups. All payments will be due the following night at midnight.
What are we fundraising for?
Last year we worked to fundraise to start and complete our new bullpen! Now we are finishing payments for this and raising money for a new timing system as well as Hammerhead pool facility improvements to make our swim home even better.
When is it?
Save the date for JUNE 11TH next THURSDAY

Last year we had a tie for girl's with Harlan and Veda Kurelic and our top boy fundraiser was Charlie Williams and they had a blast! Our team goal is to raise $10,500! If we meet our goal we will have a team popsicle party!

How do we track our donations?
Here is the document to track your sponsorships. You can start fundraising today, and it is due (emailed back to us or handed in) by June 10th or turned in that morning at practice (or when your swimmer arrives for their swim-a-thon). Attached below is a flyer to send out to potential sponsors!
How do sponsors pay?
Venmo "Hammond-Hills-1" and write "Swimmer's name swim-a-thon" in the description. You can also write a check to "Hammond Hills Swim and Tennis Club" and give it to us directly or mail it to 5670 Kayron Drive.
Silent auction
We will have a silent auction taking place in the clubhouse during the Swim-A-Thon, we will also have an online option for anyone not able to attend the auction in person, feel free to share the auction link with friends and family when I send it. we have already had two silent auction bid winners to kick us off, Karla Avery won our parking spot for the summer and the Kurelic family won our 3 front row meet seats. Some prizes that we will be auctioning at the actual swim-a-thon will include private swim lessons, Head Coach for the Day, Gift certificates, Gift baskets, Services, GA memorabilia and more!
Please reach out if you have any goods (or services) you can donate to the silent auction by emailing [email protected]
Lastly, the swim-a-thon is not required, just something fun we are doing to raise money. We will be talking about it more at practice. Let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you all!
