Hi Hammerheads!

I am still in unbelief that the season is over, how does it go so quick?! Our swimmers at the Georgia Tech meet last week killed it! Make sure to congratulate them if you see any of these swimmers!

Thank you for making this season possible and helping get your swimmers to practices and meets. We couldn't do it without you! And another big thank you for your generous contributions to our Annual coaches diving for dollars season finale. We felt very appreciated!

This season was a season of many accomplishments including: 4 Meet wins, the largest team we have had in the past 5+ years, the most money we have raised from the Swim-A-Thon and the most 1st year swimmers in the past 5 years. Congratulations on being a part of a winning season!

For anyone that missed the awards ceremony medals and paper plates are in your swimmer's file folder. GA Tech swimmers can also pick up their ribbons and medals from their file folders. Any lost and Found or Swim Gear left at the pool will be considered a donation on July 3rd so make sure to come claim it. 

This season we had so many records broken and so many swimmers drop so much time on their swims! To keep this progress going throughout the year and to make swim not just a summer pastime, but a sport they can compete in year-round consider joining a year-round team. Some great year-round teams are Chastain (AKA CPAC which we have many swimmers on), Lifetime swim team, Dynamo swim and Atlanta swim Academy. These year-round teams offer a way to freeze membership during summer swim team so that you don't have to be part of both teams at once. These teams do not have a practice requirement, so for busy schedules you can choose how many days a week you go as well as what meets you compete in. If your child has a school swim team I highly recommend they join! School swim teams are a great way for your child to meet some great kids and find community in doing something they love. If you are looking to get winter time lessons Aqua Tots swim School, who also sponsors us, is great for our younger swimmers.

Another big thank you to all who donated to the Swim-A-Thon. With your contributions we are getting a New Hy-Tech Timing System as well as some exciting pool facility upgrades!!! (More to come on these upgrades soon).

Even though swim team is over our coaches would still love to give private lessons to continue your child's swim progress as well as to siblings wanting to learn to swim or prepare to be a Hammerhead next season. Don't hesitate to reach out to any coach for lessons this summer!
