1. Practice Tomorrow Morning!
There is normal practice tomorrow morning! This is a great practice attend to because we will solely focus on preparing our hammerheads for the meet tomorrow!
2. Basic Information for Meet #1
Where: Hammond Hills
When: TOMORROW
Arrival time: 4-4:15PM
Warm-Ups: 4:45PM
Meet Start Time: 5:30PM
After-Meet Dinner: PIZZA CROSTA
3. Parking Instructions for the Meet
Please respect all no parking signs placed on the side of the road. Unlike practices, we only park on one side of the road for swim meets! Please also respect spots reserved for the opposing team's staff, our meet referree, and parent representatives.
4. What swimmers should do before the meet!
If possible, swimmers should spend the day relaxing! We understand that some kids are in camps which makes this difficult. However, we recommend the kids: read, watch T.V., nap, and eat light snacks. Heavy meals, such as chips & queso/pizza, prior to the meet could lead to upset stomachs during events. We strongly recommend not participating in activities that could lead to exhaustion or injury. Rule of thumb is stay out of the sun and pick a good movie!
5. What to expect when you arrive at the meet!
4:00-4:15PM:
- Bullpen area is located on the wooden stairs leading up the playground. The playground will be closed during the meet. Please drop your swimmer(s) off in the bullpen as soon as you arrive! They will lay down a towel next to their friends and stay there for the majority of the meet.
- Swimmer(s) will be approached by coaches and bullpen parents to discuss what they will be swimming in the meet. We will write their events on their arms in sharpie so it does not wash off when they race!
4:45PM: Warm-ups will begin and will be led by coaches. Swimmers will return to the bullpen area after warm-ups are completed!
5:20:
- Announcements/Team Cheer
- Bullpen Parents and Coaches will line up kids for the first events
6. What to expect during the Meet!
5:30: Meet begins with 6&Under Free Relays and then 7&UP Medley Relays!
Kids will stay in the bullpen at all times unless with a parent! It's super fun - they hang out with their teammates, play games, eat snow cones, etc. Parents - Please tell your swimmer's bullpen parents if you are moving your child from the bullpen. The bullpen area was created to ensure we can find your child before their events. It's important they do not leave without letting us know first! Thanks in advance!
Approx. 7:30PM: 6&Unders will finish their last events! (This time is not set in stone)
Approx. 9:15PM: Final races of the meet! (This time is not set in stone)
After-Swim Meet: Coaches relay!
**CONCESSIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE CLUBHOUSE!! Come hungry -- Cash Only!!**
7. What to do after your swimmer(s) events are completed!
