Hey Hammerheads!

We just wanted to send out one last reminder that checks and event requests are due by TOMORROW in order your swimmer(s) to be eligible to swim at the divisional and championship meets next week. To be eligible to swim for the Sandy Springs State Team, swimmers must participate in next Wednesday's divisional meet. The divisional meet will serve as the qualifying meet for this team and will determine who is selected for the team. The State Team is a July commitment. Information about the Sandy Springs State Team has been attached in a document below. Also included below is the email sent out last Saturday that has information regarding the championship and state meets.

 

At the end of the season, there is an opportunity for your swimmer(s) to participate in our league-wide divisional and championship meets at Georgia Tech. This meet is recommended for swimmers participating in year round swimming programs and high school aged swimmers. The divisional meet is also required for any swimmer who seeks to participate on the Sandy Springs State Swim Team for the duration of July. The divisional meet will serve as these swimmer(s) qualifying meet for their potential acceptance onto the State Team. Swimmers will not be able to participate on the State Team without attending the divisional meet. There is a $20 entry fee for each swimmer wishing to participate in these meets. Important Dates: Next Thursday, June 23rd - You must have your entry information (Name, 2 desired events) and payment turned into the Hammond Hills Coaching Staff by this date to be eligible to swim in the divisional and championship meet. Wednesday, June 29th - Divisional Meet at Georgia Tech (9:00am to 12:30pm) Saturday, July 2nd - Championship Finals Meet at Georgia Tech (you will only attend this meet if your swimmers place among the top 50 swimmers for a given event league wide, you may also scratch this meet if you make finals and cannot attend - but it is not recommended) -- 6&Unders,7&8s, 9&10s: Noon to 3PM -- 11&UPS: 4PM to 7:30PM ​If you choose to participate in this meet, please look over the meet info packet here: https://atlantaswimming.azurewebsites.net/Portals/0/Documents/NASA/Championship%20Info%2016.pdf?ver=2016-06-03-010247-847 If you have any questions regarding this meet, please do not hesitate to contact us.
