    VOLUNTEER SIGN UPS LIVE AT NOON!

    Hey there Hammerheads!

    Can you believe we are one week away from our first practice of the season?! We are SO excited. Today is an important day because our volunteer sign-ups are going live on our website. Every family is required to sign up for at least 2 volunteer positions (PER FAMILY, not per swimmer) for this season. The only exception to the mandatory volunteer rule is if you are a family that ONLY has a junior shark and no swimmers in any other age group. In any other case, signing-up for volunteer positions is non-negotiable unless you choose to pay the waiver fee of $250 per child. We do not mean to seem harsh, but swim meets simply cannot happen without your help! smiley

    At noon, you will receive emails with links to the volunteer sign up pages. All you have to do is select the meet(s) you want to volunteer at, select the position you want to do, and type in your email address used during registration. Biggest thing to remember – HIT SAVE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN. We would hate for you to select your favorite positions only to find out later down the road that your choices did not save. If you want to complete it manually (not use the links from the emails), you can always go to our website (hhsta.swim-team.us) and click the “Swim Meet” tab. Once on the swim meet tab, hit the “V” button next to your choice of swim meet and it will take you to the volunteer sign up page.

    Important Things to Know on the Volunteer Sign-Up Page:
    1. Session #1 is the first half of the meet and Session #2 is the second half of the meet.
    2. If it only has Session #1 option (no Session #2 option), then the position lasts the entire meet.
    3. If you see a position, but have no idea what the position entails - hit the question mark next to the position and a description of the position will appear.
    4. The save button is at the bottom of the screen.

    One question you might be asking is “Do I have to sign up for volunteer positions right now?” The answer is no. Sign-ups for each swim meet will close and lock one week out from each given meet date. However, we highly recommend you complete it now or as soon as possible. The sooner you complete volunteer sign ups, the more choices you will have in terms of position variety and position availability. More so, you won’t be bothered with “Sign Up for Volunteer Positions Please” emails over the next few weeks and throughout the season.

    This is the first year we are using the website for Volunteer Sign-Ups and we except to run into a few hiccups, but we are ready to problem solve. Therefore, as always, if you have any questions – please do not hesitate to contact us. We are more than happy to help!
